Board Meeting in South Africa

Our board members gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa, for intense working sessions to tackle our organization’s challenges head-on. Additionally, they attended the CCI and SIOP Africa conference, where the CCI Africa Regional Committee and CCI board members engaged in strategic discussions about the future of childhood cancer on the continent.

During their visit to Africa, CCI board members, along with representatives from the CCI Africa community, visited the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA and their parent houses. We were inspired by the outstanding work they’re doing to support children with cancer and their families in South Africa. They also visited the Zakhiti Paediatric Hospital.

Our president Rodney Wong, visited the Zimbabwean organization KidzCan. He celebrated the collaboration between the Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) and KidzCan. He highlighted that this agreement will promote early detection and treatment of childhood cancer and will help to raise awareness about childhood cancer. Mr. Wong also had a meeting with the Health Minister of Zimbabwe, Sleiman Timios Kwidini.
